The next selection for our book club is The Lost Art of Compassion, by Lorne Ladner. Lorne rescues compassion from a marginalized view, showing how its practical application in our lives can be a powerful force in achieving happiness. Combining the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism and Western psychology, he presents clear, effective practices for cultivating compassion in daily living.
The author will be in attendance!
HOWEVER, the Book Club does not meet again until September (9/5 is indicated for now but it will be on a date to be announced) as we are taking a break for our members who are attending the annual Palyul Summer Retreat.
We meet at the home of Yeshe Dorje, who lives in SouthWest DC, near the Waterfront.
